What a beautiful view – a great spot to contemplate the meaning of life, capture the colour of air and light, water and earth and an awesome place to paint.  For me, the joy of painting on location for our 2 South Island exhibitions in 2018 is just pure joy.

Before undertaking any series of art, I firstly have to absorb what I’m painting. That’s half the fun – the other half happens when I paint to music…

The landscape in Central Otago is like no other. Rich in gold mining history – the perfect combination of wine and gold compliments this rugged land of rustic charm and living Relics.  Bendigo is one of those places – perched high on the hill – it offers a lot of inspiration…
