Born in Auckland on 1 March 1975, she moved to Wellington at the age of 4 and grew up in the suburb of Wainuiomata – attending Wood Hatton School and then Parkway College.
Born into a family of creatives – her mother is a talented writer, designer and chef and her father, a graphic artist, photographer and musician/composer – playing both the piano and the oboe for a number of orchestras in and around New Zealand. She picked up her first guitar as a teenager and the first song she learnt to play was ‘Stairway to Heaven’ – followed by anything from Metallica, The Red Hot Chili Peppers and The Rolling Stones to name a few.
After leaving high school, she completed 4 years of study in Interior Architecture and Design at The Central Institute of Technology (1993-96) where after she worked as a kitchen consultant and receptionist/trainer at a computer training company in central Wellington.
Following her passion for flowers – She trained as a florist through the NZ Professional Florists Association in Wellington and opened her floral design studio in Khandallah – designing wedding flowers, corporate arrangements and creative floral design for clients all around the Wellington region for a number of years.
She moved to Wanaka in 2011 where she opened up her own art studio/gallery – painting and exhibiting both locally and internationally – including exhibitions in Samoa, Rarotonga, New Zealand, Wanaka and Dunedin.
Always exploring her passion for photography, poetry, music and travel, she is currently working on her upcoming exhibition to be held in Queenstown, New Zealand in May 2017…
